Chaktomuk Data Center
Chaktomuk Data Center is a colocation data centre housed in a facility of approximately 7.000 m², designed to ensure the continuous availability of the hosted equipment.
The Facility team uses openMAINT to manage the maintenance of the critical systems that keep the facility operating, including power supply, cooling, fire safety and protection systems.
The challenge
Before adopting openMAINT, maintenance activities were managed through spreadsheets. This approach made it difficult to plan interventions and immediately verify what work had been completed, when and by whom.
In a data centre, every generator, UPS and cooling system must be maintained according to defined schedules. Interventions must also be recorded and documented, including for audits required by customers and auditors.
The objectives were therefore to ensure activity traceability, structure preventive and corrective maintenance, and support the ISO certification journey.
The solution
Chaktomuk Data Center adopted openMAINT as its central maintenance management platform. The system now contains approximately 4.500 assets and supports around 700 work orders per year.
Preventive activities are scheduled in advance, while corrective interventions are recorded and monitored through completion, making all information on activity status available within a single environment.
The Standard Operating Procedures were also integrated into the platform, enabling technicians to access the necessary instructions directly while carrying out interventions.
Benefits
The primary benefit is complete maintenance traceability: scheduled activities, completed interventions and outstanding work are all managed within a single system.
Structured planning has helped reduce unexpected equipment issues, while technicians have a clearer view of their tasks and the related procedures. Management can more easily monitor completed, ongoing and overdue activities.
The flexibility of openMAINT made it possible to adapt the platform to the data centre’s requirements and support the documentation needed for the ISO journey.
The future
Chaktomuk Data Center plans to extend openMAINT to an affiliated company, bringing approximately 220 additional sites and 20 users into the same CMMS.
The goal is to apply the structured and traceable maintenance model to a much larger estate. To explore the platform configuration, managed activities and results in greater detail, download the full case study.
