It operates in cloud, cybersecurity, AI, FinOps, system integration and IT governance, helping organisations manage technological complexity and evolve their processes and digital models.
The challenge
Before adopting CMDBuild READY2USE, NPO Torino used a system that did not provide the flexibility required to keep pace with the evolution of its teams, services and IT environment.
Managing a large number of technology assets distributed across different platforms and services required information that was always up to date, consistent and accessible to the various working groups.
A configurable platform was therefore needed, capable of adapting the data model, simplifying bulk data loading and integrating with existing corporate systems.
The solution
With CMDBuild READY2USE, NPO Torino built a centralised repository for the management, monitoring and governance of IT resources.
The platform supports numerous types of Configuration Items and allows the data model to be progressively extended according to the needs of different teams. Import and export templates also facilitate data loading and updating.
Standard APIs enabled the solution to be integrated with corporate systems and its use to be extended to other IT processes. CMDBuild READY2USE has therefore become a central point for managing and sharing information.
Benefits
Centralising information improved the quality and reliability of the organisation’s information assets, providing a more complete view of assets and strengthening IT infrastructure governance.
The flexibility of the data model allows the platform to adapt quickly as processes and organisational needs evolve. Integrations with corporate systems have also increased automation and simplified data updates.
In use since 2024, the platform has 998 registered users, manages approximately 394.000 Configuration Items and supported 9.459 incidents in the last year.
The future
NPO Torino is developing an integration with Microsoft Key Vault to strengthen the protection of passwords and sensitive information managed within the platform.
